Resumen

The Canadian Model Forest Network (CMFN) represents 15 member Model Forests across Canada. The past 20 years has provided the opportunity to gain expertise and experience engaging a wide range of partners in programs and activities. These have focused on many different forest topics addressing environmental, social, and economic issues, as well as assisting in identifying and exploring new opportunities. With this history, the CMFN finds itself in a place where it can apply the tools, lessons learned, and best practices, as well as build on its multi-stakeholder platform to provide benefit to an even wider group of partners. By broadening the CMFN’s scope, the goal is to deliver projects that reflect sustainable natural resource management. This will be undertaken by engaging and showing value of the Model Forest approach to new partners in a wide range of naturalresource sectors, while maintaining well-established relationships with our current forest sector partners
